STUDENTS UNDER AGE 18
The Minor Driver’s Education program is made up of three required phases that your student must complete to obtain a Texas driver’s license.
Phase #1
Consists of 32 hours of classroom instruction. After completing the first 6 hours, your student will take the permit test. Once passed, they will receive a certificate making them eligible to obtain a learner permit from the Texas Department of Public Safety. Our office will schedule this appointment for you using the best available date at the time of scheduling. You will receive a confirmation email from DPS. If the scheduled time does not work for your availability, you may reschedule using the link in the confirmation email or attempt a walk in appointment.
Phase #2
Once your student has obtained their permit. This phase includes the 30 Hour Parent Log, which must be completed with a licensed adult who is at least 21 years old and has held a valid driver’s license for a minimum of one year. We understand that not all parents feel comfortable being the first person in the vehicle with their student. For this reason, we offer the option to add three private Behind-the-Wheel lessons to your selected package. These lessons count toward the 30 Hour Parent Log and are available for an additional fee of $250. This option is not required but is available if you would like additional support. Please contact All Drive Training Academy to add these lessons to your package.
Phase #3
The final phase and includes 14 hours of advanced Behind-the-Wheel training with our certified instructors using our vehicles. Once all 14 hours are completed, your student will be eligible to take their road test. For additional details regarding road testing, please refer to the information available on our website.
